Field Trips Are Here for hConnect & ORLA Online Students

We’re excited to share that our ORLA PTA is launching a new field trip initiative for hConnect and ORLA Online students and their families. After hearing from families who were eager for more in-person learning opportunities, the PTA has been working to create outings that bring students together for shared experiences beyond the virtual classroom.

These field trips are designed to be family-centered and accessible. Students attend alongside a caregiver, siblings are welcome, and trips are structured to encourage curiosity, connection, and community. Some outings will be fully funded by the PTA, while others may include shared costs, with opportunities to donate and help support future adventures.

Our first field trip will take place on February 27, with a visit to the Pierce College Science Dome for an immersive STEM experience (click here for details or to register). This kickoff marks the beginning of a broader effort to offer engaging, in-person opportunities throughout the year for hConnect and ORLA Online families.
