Our first general member meeting will take place on Thursday, October 19th at 7:00 pm. All of our general member meetings this year will be virtual to make attendance easier for as many as possible.

Our general membership meetings are our opportunity to conduct the business of our PTA. We need all our members' voices to help guide our organization. At this first meeting, we will be voting on our standing rules, which outline our PTA's rules and policies and must be renewed every year. We will also be hearing the end of year treasurer's report from last year and voting on our budget for next year. All of these items are necessary for our PTA to function and to provide for the activities that support our community. 

Remember that only active members can vote. PTA memberships reset in the summer every year and need to be renewed in the fall. For all of you who have already renewed your membership, thank you so much! For anyone who hasn't yet had the opportunity to renew, we invite you to do so. 

Since the ORLA PTA recognizes the importance of ensuring every single member of our school community who wants to vote has the ability to do so, we have instituted Access for All.  This means that no matter your views or financial ability, you are welcome to join the PTA and have your vote count.  The 2022-2023 membership raised funds and voted to subsidize both local and national dues for those in need, and this will be an honor-based system. We greatly appreciate any contributions to help cover the cost of fellow community members, and any donation made when paying dues will go directly to future access-for-all funding.
